Re: The Campsite.
"The shadow-god's ones. The unnamed hunter's pack. We follow their scent for many moons, but the trail was broken by the Unfurred."
She gestures to the Seekers. Her voice is quiet but seems to have a powerful quality to it, and could easily be intimidating if it was meant to be so.
"Oldblood senses many things that escape even us. She knows a dark spirit at once. Yours is clearly not such a spirit."

Re: The Campsite.
Impressed with this information, though also wary of what it could mean, she thinks on this for a moment.
Not for the first time, she wishes she could have followed her father's teachings more closely, but it was not her way.
Many times when the trail seems cold, the land can whisper the way.
Thinking for a moment, she looks up at Sharphowl. "Mrrrh...a spirit talker with your pack?"
Sparkeye also makes a mental note that the great wolf is female.

Soars-With-Wind turns towards the newcomer.
"You... you are Sparkeye? Yes? Daughter of Shaman Firegaze? You I have seen... but what brings you here? Why approach us?"

Darkhide snarls at 'Soars'.

Re: The Campsite.
Trying not to flinch too openly at the angry male wolf's outburst, she looks over the birdkin curiously.
The flickering light of the campfire catches in her golden eyes.
"Mhrrrm, Sparkeye, yes. Firegaze yes." she nods. "You talk spirits, feathered one?"
While watching him she glances at Sharphowl, to the male, and then at the Eagle tribe member.

"With spirits, and... more. Soars-With-Moonlight sees much."
He turns to address the angry wolfkin.
"What question I not answer? Was distracted by... others."
[OOC - I'm going away camping so won't be able to reply for a while, I'll come back and insert posts where it is necessary.]

Re: The Campsite.
Darkhide and Soars continue their conversation, before the [Eagle tribe I assume] Beastman is accepted to the camp.
"Snowhide is our own spirit speaker. He knows much. He will help."
Darkhide looks over to his band of kin and points a clawed finger towards a hunched over Beastman, clearly elderly, with thinning fur of a pure white that covers a wiry frame. One of his ears is mostly chewed off, and from what you can see, he has few teeth left.

Re: The Campsite.
Sparkeye makes a note to speak with Soars-with-Moonlight later- he knew of her father.
She turns to look at where the dark wolf is pointing, towards a wise old wolfkin.
"Snowhide seen much." She agrees, with a nod.
Her gaze wanders across the others gathered nearby, and falls upon a human.
"Also hunt shadows?"

The birdkin turns towards the old wolfkin, his eyes resting on his for a brief second as if searching for something (George, I'll message you what that means), before moving to speak with him.
"Why does your leader tell me speak with you... what can Soars-With-Moonlight do... what must Soars-With-Moonlight do?"

Re: The Campsite.
The ragged old old wolf shivers and clenches his fists.
"Much darkness gathers here. Spirits are restless."

"I feel this also... what must be done to settle spirits we cannot decide... spirits will call it to us... sing it on the winds... we must listen. What say you?"

Re: The Campsite.
Sparkeye listens to their conversation with interest, curious to see how the other tribes deal with such things.
Her mind wanders slightly and she wonders what her father would do.
Memories rise behind her eyes, the campfire of family, the sound of their voices, the smell of meat over the flames...
A low gurgling growl escapes her rumbling stomach.
She presses at her midriff with her hands, slightly embarrassed, and hopes no-one else noticed.

Re: The Campsite.
After a little while of listening to bits of conversation that float across the clearing to her keen ears, curiousity gets the better of her. Having accustomed herself to the Wolfkin present in the group, and been accepted at the fire, Sparkeye decides perhaps it is time to see what the others are doing here. They would be a good distraction, at least until sunfall.
Leaving her cloak at the fire side where she had been resting, she stands up and stretches arching her neck and shoulders, and settles into a light footed casual stroll. Approaching the group stood next to the nearest shelter, she stands about 3 strides away from them, as is polite, and waits for a break in their conversation, or for one of them to notice her.

Re: The Campsite.
Sensing that Sparkeye wished to ask some questions of them, Soars-With-Moonlight stopped slightly to one side, beckoning for the young Lynx tribe to take the space in the group.

Re: The Campsite.
His intention was very clear, it was an invitation. She nodded, and took it eagerly.
Standing this close to the strangers, it was hard for her not to stare and inspect them, but she tried to keep her curious eyes on their faces, and looked each of them in the eye as she introduced herself with confidence. "Sparkeye. Swiftclaw's Den."
She wondered how the Humans would react. They seemed to be the travelling sort, and she expected them to have seen much. Herself, she had barely left her homeland, and found new fascination in each of them.
Having looked around the circle her gaze returned to the Eagle.
"Mrrw, Soars-With-Moonlight, yes hmm? Say seen me?"

Soars-With-Moonlight cocked his head, looking curiously at the young lynxkin.
"Yes... Seen you... In the darkness... with my sight."

She seems to consider this for a moment, and then nods.
"Seen these too, mrrh?" she asks, gesturing at the others here present. "What darkness?"

Re: The Campsite.
"Sunfall soon, hrmm? Then night-darkness. Not hurt before. Good for hunt." she is a little confused, but remembers that Sharphowl had mentioned something about a different kind of darkness.
"How to fight Dark ones? How to hunt them, mrrh?"

"Two ways of fighting them... hunt with weapons... or hunt their souls... seek them out... destroy them utterly... that was my task within my nest. How you hunt?"
