Lord Pike's Estate

Well, it certainly had been an eventful festival.
The arrival of the members of the Seekers' Guild had been planned for, this much was true- as had the tournament, to keep them entertained during their stay...but the other goings on were quite unprepared. Just as well they had been there, or else things could have turned out rather differently, to say the least.
It was quieter now, though judging by the muffled voices he could hear sitting outside in the afternoon sun, he suspected at least some of the visitors may linger a while longer. He took a deep breath, and with a sigh, concentrated on the repetitive sound of the broom over the boards. Sweeping the main hall suddenly seemed strangely mundane, yet he welcomed the familiarity of it, and took care to savour the normality of it all.
Reality, it seemed, was underrated.

Lidja and Johann stand outside the manor, by the chapel, admiring it. "I asked both Robere and Seamus if I could vomit in their hats...they both said no...it was quite a shame really." She looks to him, leaning on him for some support.

"...Must have been seven and a half feet tall at least. What do you say, Leif? I don't know how we're going to get the whole lot of it home..."

Johann sits back outside, looking up at the sky with a slightly far-away expression on his face.

Leif looks to the Horizon
"I'm sure We can manage it"

Johann looks down from the orange sky, glancing briefly at the fur-laden ranger.

"Yes...I suppose we will...You're certainly full of energy this week."

Blood drips softly from a white (and Red) fur half cape
"Perhaps it's something in the water"

"Well whatever you've been drinking, it's certainly had an effect on you."

Stiffly arching her back, Lidja winces.
"Whatever you're drinking give me twenty. I feel as old as my father right now"

"Well I do feel a little stronger"
He swings the carcass over one shoulder
"But maybe Gevellians are weak"

Lidja smirks slightly.
"You can say that again"
She walks to one of the seats, perching on it, sighing in content.
"That's better" she mumbles to herself.

"In any case...those Werewolves...they do intrigue me.."

"Not me, you can see all you need right here"
He gestures to the Carcass over his shoulder
"They may be reinforced with a stronger spirit, but they still bleed they can still be slain by a hunter."

"Ha! No less than yourself then, Leif? Cursed is the life of a man with Lycan blood...It is a dark thing indeed."

"In truth this was a gift, may his free soul grace the Halls of the Gods. And his freed skin grace the Hall of my Father."

"As long as it's body doesn't go to waste. That pelt could make many a man and woman warm for the day."
She looks to the pelt, then to her own fur waistcoat.

"And now onto Cloubreaker's ship to bear us back to the true forests of Volkrime"

"Yes! To the north! And to home!"
Johann leaps from his seat and begins striding in the direction of where the airship is docked.

A figure in a brown hooded cloak is passing by- and pauses.
"Ah, good afternoon, Seekers. I hear there was a...happening, last night. Pleased to see you survived unscathed."
Hilde pushes back her hood, and squints for a moment in the afternoon sun.

Lidja groans, standing up onto her sore and aching feet.
Moving one hand to her back, she stretches and begins the, slightly painful, walk to where the ship is docked.

Johann stops and turns at the new arrival.

"Hilde! Good to see you. Leif! It's Hilde. A happening, yes, many in fact."

"From what I hear, it sounds as though my Lady and I may have missed out on the adventure again! The servants have loose tongues, but short memories- Tell me, what was it like?"

"Is that a werewolf pelt?!" The voice comes booming through the trees "I knew it!" Princess Teya emerges from the undergrowth, her dress somewhat more ripped than on the previous day, and sporting a big black eye "Why did no-one come to find me? If I'd known there were werewolves, we could have ducked out of that tavern before the watch showed up!"

"Ah, good afternoon my Lady." Hilde says respectfully, ignoring the purple bruise around the Princess' eye.
"Good to see you're none the worse for wear. Your arrival is well timed, they were about to tell of their newest adventure."

Hans strides out of some bushes, clearly having just checked on something.

"We got scattered amongst separate Planes of existence after I had my soul torn out of my body. Again."

The again is said in a tone that implies that the frequency of the occurrence is making it less special, if still cool.

"Leif and I killed a werewolf, or two, I lost count. Did the others get the other one? I dunno. Then we had to fight off some dopple-ganger thing, so I shot it. Repeatedly. Their screams are nice. Drove it out of the circle so the Magic users could fix the Planes, managed to lose a Darkling again. fixed the Planes, finished the tournament, survived."

He looks up from the gun that he's cleaning.

"That was a summary. Want an expansion?"

Hilde glances over at the future Crown of Amrania.
"Let's first be prepared." she says, and waves to one of Lord Pike's staff.
The man walks sharply over.
"Some sustenance for the Princess Teya and her associates, if you please?"
To his credit, he simply nods and heads towards the house.
The ranger takes a seat.
"There."
