Because why play established game systems well into their 3rd or 4th major editions, when you can shoot things with 15 rockets at once?

Okay, that problem (?) might have been fixed in Advanced DAMAGE


What is AD?

Advanced DAMAGE is a System designed to be epic levels of modular, like GURPS without the reams of text or supposed failure. It's a lightweight system that's there to give a GM more time plotting and less time opening Rulebook 74 to page 9001 paragraph 4 to see if that obscure action a PC just made really is only DC 15.

You're just too lazy to flesh it out aren't you?!

Yes Of course not! How boring would it be to play on the same place, in the same conditions and geopolitical boundaries every single game? DAMAGE allows the GM and player to both work on creating a world and deciding just what really is possible!

Why waste hours to find a move that doesn't exist in the rules, when you can shout at each other until you agree?

Yes you can, Advanced DAMAGE has a limb system, with HP and blood loss incorporated, would you like your entire arm blown off, or just the lower arm? Which side?

In theory, a player can survive as a quadruple amputee, though if that doesn't happen in controlled conditions, you're going to be dead in a pool of your own blood and missing most of your limbs. Great tactic if you wanna scare anyone passing by, not so much for living... or fighting... Why am I even discussing whether or not the PC wants to be an amputee? It's an awful idea if you have any hope of surviving a combat situation

Your facial hair is not an adequate crumple-zone for ballistics or solid melee hits. However hair, facial hair, and any features, just like a real body (GM dependent) can be shot and damaged like anything else.

While there is no system specifically for facial hair, it is integral to aiming, bullet hits, some magicks and looking awesome. Aesthetics and the like are much more liberally decided than things like Armour and Hitpoints. It's actually possible to have a beard capable of doing lethal damage to someone if you do it right, though you'd need a lot of focus and hair length to make any use of said skill.

Protip: Fire and beards don't go well together.
