Re: Seekers Guildhouse
"I understand. It is clear you do not wish to work with outlaws such as myself, and I respect that. I had wished to make some kind of resolution to our seemingly pointless feud, but it seems that will not happen. Oh well, at least I tried... Now I just need to find someone else who would be willing to help me..."
Seamus begins to rise, presumably to go find another person to help him. He seems to recall Hans saying something about being good with locks...

Captain Seamus O'Malley wrote:"Oh well, at least I tried..."
Divah had, in turn, used his time to walk away from the situation, perplexed by the morals of this captain, and how bribery meant friendship. Regardless, he knew their views were almost polar opposites of each other on the matter, his final comment indicated that he should keep an eye out for any intruders whenever he would plan to study next.
Divah went off to seek out another of his students and tell him the (probably good) news that he was leaving for a while.
Re: Seekers Guildhouse
Hans walks in, a worn book in his hand as he massages his brow, muttering about thrice damned holy-men and the intricacies of the modern tumbler. Nearly bumping into the green-wearing Elf he knows as Divah, he speaks
"Sorry, been doing a lot of research today, mind wandered. Have you by chance seen the Captain? I've heard he may need me for something."

Re: Seekers Guildhouse
"So he wasn't expecting me to agree afte- Uh, yes... but I'm fairly sure I know why he wants you, perhaps it'd be best not to join him for now, unless you enjoy inescapable corruption"
Re: Seekers Guildhouse
Hans raises an eyebrow.
"Oh? Perhaps it's best I return to my studies then. Are you headed somewhere quiet? I could use company. Books are full of information but they don't answer quite as well as people do. That said, I do prefer the presence of a book to people sometimes. They are so brazenly loud and annoying. Especially that ruddy crew after a binge."
Hans shivers, flipping a page and reading a little more.

"Hm... Follow me"
Divah didn't wait for a response, but took off immediately for an exit to the guild, pacing towards a cart and sending a letter back into the guild with a small green man, he mounted the cart and looked for a certain person who seemed to have social anxiety.

Edward finally returns from the breakfast [or is it lunch?] queue. He sees Divak, looks behind him as his habit catches on a bench, looks back only to see the table bereft of occupants, or at the very least the 'green-cloak-club' had left...
Oh... never mind
Edward shrugs, sits and enjoys his meal

Hans walked out, book being stowed in a breast-pocket and hopping onto the cart.
"So where are we going?"

[OOC - I think it's lunchtime now, but I'm not too sure either... ]
Seamus sees Father Edward sit down at the long table, so shifts up next to him.
"Father, long time no see! I trust you are well, although I have to say I haven't seen many of your order around... How goes the work of the Tempest?"

"I have a place outside the city, no people, wildlife everywhere, peace and quiet"
The cart began on its journey out of the Seekers' Guild and out of the city. (and out of the thread)

It goes well... I must confess that much of the Tempest are away on the Church's business, hopefully finding minor artefacts and treasures. Either that or they are worshipping... anyway, it is a pity they can't be here. And how are you and your crew? I must say that your first mate, Hans, is it?, has a rather distasteful attitude towards the Gods, but on the whole your crew seem to be a fine bunch of men...
Edward picks up some food a chews steadily, before continuing
Yes, I haven't seen you in a while... You've been on your ship, the... the... what was it's name again...
Edward looks perplexed as he ponders this new conundrum

Re: Seekers Guildhouse
"The ship's called the Earthbound's Rescue, and Hans... yes... he means well, but sometimes he has trouble putting across his message. Needless to say, his constant attempts to impress have led to some less fortunate happenings in the past. Think nothing of it. He has his views, and he tends to stick to them."
Seamus realises that the Father may not want to be hearing about Hans, judging by his earlier tone, so tries to change the subject matter.
"I hear you've been requested to be part of the Seekers mission regarding the Lanetian Queen, are you fond of Lanetian culture, Father? Personally, I think they drink too much wine and not enough mead, if you know what i mean..."

Re: Seekers Guildhouse
Edward laughs politely.
I'm afraid that I don't know much about Lanet at all. All I know is that where royalty goes treasures must surely follow... treasures that can be used in the Wave Lord's interests. And how about you? Why do you wish to protect this Queen?

Re: Seekers Guildhouse
"Aye, the treasure is a major factor, but I'm not just in it for material gains; when you have a reputation such as mine, it's always useful to earn the favour of a monarch or two."
Seamus chuckles lightly.
"Actually, it's been quite a while since I've payed my respects to the gods. I mean, properly payed my respects, at a church and all. I have a collection of shrines on my ship, but that's hardly the same as an ornate cathedral. I'll make sure to stop by your chapel some time in the next couple of days, but until then, I must bid you farewell. I have some... research... to attend to."
Seamus stands up from his seat and starts walking to the great oaken doors at the entrance of the great hall.

Well I look foward to seeing you there!
Edward calls after Seamus, before returning to his food, alone again with his thoughts...

Lydia walks in to sit next to the Father, to talk/debate about religion with him.

Johann also walks in, quite coincidentally, and not at all because he wants to debate religion..

"So Father, which God do you feel is the one everyone can relate to, in some shape or form?" She smiles towards him, all ready to listen to his answer.

Re: Seekers Guildhouse
"Oooh, now there's a tricky question... if truth be told I don't think there is one. If there is I would have to say the Earth Mother, simply because everyone touches the ground more often than not. Other than that, I think that people are too varied, too different to have a God that relates to all of them.
Likewise, there is no one God that can fulfil all a man's needs... the Wave Lord will give good weather and keep you safe at sea, but can do nothing for farmers who need the sun for their crops to grow..."
"And you? do you think one particular God can fit all?"
Modedit: formatting fix (and replacing '1' for 'one')

Johann opens the door, letting a wave of cold air sweep into the Guildhouse, before it is enveloped by the warmth. He hold it open for Lydia and BabbyXyx.

Lydia walks into the warmth, holding the child, and looks around for a quiet corner. "There's a few empty seats to the right" Lydia motions with her hand towards them.

Johann points to a room past the main hall. It seems to be empty, and is a comfortable living area.
"Perhaps here?"

Lydia peers into the room, nods, and then walks into it. She moves towards one of the chairs, takes her cloak off with one arm and places it on the back of it, before sitting down in the chair, with the small child on her lap
