The Never-Ending Tea-Party

Post  Hauldr Johann Draugr on Sun May 19, 2013 5:12 am

*Some time after event 1* - The Gevellian countryside, probably somewhere on Lord Pike's lands.

Maelle Pennot is hosting a tea party. It's nice.

Johann lies back on the grass, and sighs contently.

"Aaah. Haven't had cake like that since last I was in the Volkstadt!"

"Surprised I managed to get my hands on some with that one around." Smiling, he gestures to Sasien.

Sasien, sitting upright next to Johann, stuffs a slice of cake into his mouth, pretending to ignore him.

Maelle smiles at Sasien and Johann.
"I'm so happy you two came!! Let alone that you're enjoying yourselves, gosh, would you like some more tea?"
She giggles cheerfully, pouring herself another cup.

Johann sits up excitedly at the suggestion of another drink.

"Please! This tea isn't my usual, but it's not half bad."

Sasien holds his cup out towards Maelle, speaking incoherently through his mouthful of cake.

Johann looks sideways at the elf, amused but surprised at the Elf's unusual manners.

Maelle excitedly pours more tea.
"So you are enjoying the cake? I made it myself and I didn't explode any kitchens! I was so proud!"

Sasien swallows his mouthful.

"Yeah, this victoria sponge is good."

He proceeds to fill his mouth with more.

There's a sudden ruckus at the edge of the manor house. Movement is spotted as a sprightly, small servant comes dashing out of the building. She's barely old enough to be considered an adult but that's probably why they chose her as a message runner; able body and fresh lungs. At best, she'd be considered fifteen years of age, maybe younger.

She wears Lord Pike's colours in a dress that currently is hoisted above her knees, so she can run, while underneath flashes of white tights can be seen poking out of the top of small golden shoes. She's flush in the face, almost glowing, and her blonde hair is tied back into a small knot that appears to be coming undone.

She comes to a stop in front of the Seekers brandishing a note towards them, in an almost victorious fashion, if it wasn't for the fast, harsh wheezing. "Pardon my interruption," she huffs, barely able to speak in a sensible manner, instead spitting out the words quickly. "A message. For you." She waves the letter, which is sealed with wax, towards the party, who until now had been relaxing.
