"Just don't forget about it. I'd rather it didn't fester in a cupboard, until we find it, all mouldy, in a few years time" She walks over to the wine then, and pours herself some more.

Johann takes an ample swig of mead from his cup.

"Aaahhhh. So, what do you fellows think of my new residence? Not bad eh?"

"Mhm, the person who decorated this place must be amazing" she winks to him lightly.

"Indeed, I'd bet she's the most modest of women, too."

"I'd love to meet this woman, she sounds like such a charming person" Lydia laughs lightly then, becoming more and more tipsy as she drinks, glass by glass by glass.

Hans makes a gagging noise, grinning while doing so.

"What is this, a party or a romantic dinner in Lanet? Quit the flirting you two, you'll have plenty enough time when you're breaking this place in."

He winks suggestively and gulps his mead

"Yes, it's marvellous. To be honest, it's quite a deal larger than I expected, but you seemed to have made good use of the space, what with the animal pelts and all..."
The captain takes a swig of his mead. He looks around the room before continuing.
"Are we expecting any more guests, or is it just the four of us? Because that makes for a rather dull party, speaking from personal experience. If the weather eases off I could travel down to the local village and pick up a bard, if you want..."

Hans looks almost affronted.

"A Bard captain? bring back some ruffians and we can have a good old fashioned brawl. Nothing like a good fight to show how sturdy your house is. Got into a fight in Shuru. Had this thug that could crack a stone wall with a punch. THAT was a very good and very mead-filled night."

Lydia turns to Hans here.
"No ruffians. I'd rather some of this sentimental decoration not be brought to ruin by someone three times your size. A Hans-shaped welt in the wall wouldn't look very ascetically pleasing"
She smirks to him lightly.

"What do you say we hire two Bards, and have them fight each other, with the last one concious singing a song about it?"

Johann laughs and takes another swig.

"And Captain, I'll wait a little longer and then we'll see. I have a couple of old friends I think it would be good for you lot to meet. Friends from my days in the Guard."

Hans raises an amused eyebrow at Lydia.

Plannning on using that wall space for something else, were we?

He turns to Johann.

"The Guard? Erm, with all due respect, we are criminals..."

He smiles and rubs the back of his head sheepishly.

"And your, er, 'gift' isn't exactly legal. People are so finiky about the perfectly good stuff the Shuruti make. Such a shame."

He swigs some more mead nervously.

Lydia just blushes a deep red.
"You are dirty minded, my friend" she says as she covers her cheeks with her free hand.

"You're that forthright about it? Well, have no fear, these are no common town guards, these are men of The Amran Guard, off duty by my word. Besides, they've probably handled some 'rare' goods in their times, you know how it is.

Hans nods, seeing no reason to not trust them if Johann say's their fine.

"Well, by all means then. It is your home. I'm not forthcoming usually, it's just that I was a lawman once myself. They might recognise me, or I might've had the pleasure of giving them the slip in the past. But back to merrier conversation!"

"Hans, I'm not sure you understand. The only thing these men are concerned with is keeping the city from Beastman raiders and, other....unnatural things..."

Johann trails off slightly as he finishes his sentence.

Hans nods.

"I'm familiar with the... unnatural, Johann. I'm sure they need a drink after seeing half of it. Invite them over, Cops'n'Robbers. It'll be great!"

"Oh it will be. With any luck, Gjurd and Lars will be here soon."

He turns to Lydia.

"And don't worry, I told them to have a bath before they headed over, and they're quite housetrained."

He laughs.

"Well, at least they'll be clean" she laughs with him here

Hans smirks.

"Oh, I dunno. Nothing like the smell of Zombie to get a party going. Tell me, Johann, have you heard of DZH?"

At that moment, there is a knock at the door. Several in fact, in an irregular rhythm that tells of multiple people at the door.

Lydia goes to answer the door.
"Lars! Gjurd! Good to see you again, do come in out of the rain. Give me your coats and I'll hang them up. Johann and the rest of the party are through in the living room. There's mead galore!" She puts her arms out for their coats etc

Hans grins, rubbing his pistol slightly.

"It's quite simple. Drunk Zombie Hunting. We get absolutely langard out of our minds, then go monster hunting in the wilds."

Hans' gin is huge, seemingly recalling good memories.
